Sri Lankan born Cassandra Fernando was elected an MP at the Australian Elections held on 21st May 2022.
Having migrated to Australia at the age of 11, Cassandra is a pastry chef, an advocate for essential workers and the Federal Labor Candidate representing the electorate of Holt. She chose to become the candidate for Holt in the hopes of providing a better future for its citizens.
