Karapitiya Hospital doctors on strike. The doctors attached to the Karapitiya Hospital have launched a strike since this morning. Accordingly, the doctors had stepped aside from their duties from 8:00am – 12:00noon whereby inconveniencing outpatient and clinical activities. The said token strike was in protest of a circular issued by the Treasury stating that they will not pay overtime above their basic salary.
