UN adopts Sri Lankan Resolution. On 23rd May 2022, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a Sri Lankan sponsored Resolution A/76/L.56 declaring 1st March as ‘World Seagrass Day’. The Resolution which was presented by Ambassador Mohan Peiris, Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations, was duly adopted.
