A doctor was beheaded in Akuressa, following a personal argument.

The beheading of a witch doctor in Akuressa was caused by a personal argument between two individuals, according to Sri Lanka Police on Monday (27).

When information that a man had been killed in Akuressa with a sharp object surfaced, the Akuressa police opened an investigation.

The deceased was revealed to be a witch doctor who practiced Devala at his home at the age of 70.

According to Sri Lanka Police, a 24-year-old guy who lives next door to the deceased had a personal argument this morning and used a sword to behead the witch doctor before taking the head away.

The deceased’s 60-year-old wife and 40-year-old daughter both suffered injuries in the attack and were taken to the hospital.

According to Sri Lanka Police, the suspect allegedly threw the witch doctor’s head into the Nilwala River.

Police are trying to track down and apprehend the culprit, who fled the scene.
