School girl abused. Police investigations based on notification by hospital authorities of a pregnancy of a 13-year-old girl from Ethimale Police Area in Monaragela have revealed that the child in concern had repeatedly been raped by her elder brother, uncle and grandfather.
The girl who initially complained of a stomachache was confirmed pregnant upon examination by a doctor. She has now been referred to JMO Monaragala General Hospital for medical examination.
In the meantime, the police have arrested the elder brother and investigations are ongoing in order to arrest the uncle and the grandfather.
