An 8-year-old US boy accidentally kills a baby girl while playing with his father’s gun.

While playing with his father’s gun, an 8-year-old boy from Florida, US, accidentally murdered a 1-year-old girl and injured his 2-year-old sister.

The boy’s father, Roderick Randall, a convicted felon, was taken into custody after the incident on Saturday night at the Lion’s Motel in Escambia County, according to authorities.

According to Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons, Randall was charged with culpable negligence, unlawful possession of a firearm, and hiding evidence.

When Rendall and his girlfriend met, a catastrophe happened. While his partner brought her two-year-old twins and her one-year-old daughter, he brought his kid.

After his father left, and while the mother was sound sleeping, the son discovered the firearm in the closet. The youngster then pulled out the firearm and began playing with it, inadvertently firing it in the process.

He takes the revolver out of the holster, plays with it, and shoots the one-year-old toddler with it, killing him in the process. One of the two-year-old infants is hit by the bullet and is hurt, but is expected to recover, Simmons told reporters.

Simmons claims that when Randall came back to the room following the shooting, he took the narcotics and gun and departed before the police arrived. He was detained on Sunday.

The 45-year-old is a 14-time felon, according to the police, and has served time for narcotics offenses, aggravated violence, and eluding arrest.

After posting a $41,000 bond, Simmons was granted release from the county jail on Sunday night.

According to a recent report by Everytown For Gun Safety, “hundreds of youngsters in the United States acquire access to unsecured, loaded firearms in closets and nightstand drawers, in backpacks and handbags, or just left out.”
