Cases restricted by Supreme Court

Published:

In light of the nation’s current fuel shortage and restrictions on the supply of fuel to the public transportation system, the Supreme Court announced today that only “urgent” matters would be heard in open court from 28th June to 1st July 2022.

According to the Registrar of the Supreme Court, if there are any urgent matters among the scheduled applications or appeals that should be heard in open court, a Motion containing an application to that effect should be filed before the scheduled date after giving notice of the Motion to the registered Attorney of the opposing party or parties, as applicable.

The Registrar further advised people who wished to submit motions in connection with urgent proceedings electronically to do so by sending the motion by email, addressed to the Registrar of the Supreme Court, at least two days prior to the appointed date.
