According to the Filling Station Owners’ Association, many fuel stations have had to close due to the major shortage of fuel on the island.
S. Fernando, Chairman of the Filling Station Owners’ Association states that despite receiving a token, the general public should avoid visiting fuel stations in hopes of getting fuel, until further notice.
He added that token holders will be informed of the availability as soon as fuel stations get the supply.
