Disciplinary action to be taken against Principal. Examinations Commissioner General L.M.D. Dharmasena has stated that a full-scale investigation will be carried out concerning the circulation of photographs on social media of students sitting for their Ordinary Level Examination whilst carrying umbrellas to protect themselves and their papers from the torrential rains that were experienced a few days ago.
He further stated that disciplinary action will be taken against the Principal of the Gampaha Thakshila Vidyalaya for persuading the students to sit for the examination under such grim conditions without arranging an alternate location.
The said disciplinary action is to be taken at provincial level by the Education Ministry and the Department of Examinations.
