Fuel crisis – from bad to worse

The current fuel crisis faced by the country seems to be worsening by the day with more reports of protests etc. The fuel crisis in Sri Lanka is affecting many sectors in the island and greatly inconveniencing the public.
A 53-year-old three-wheeler driver suffered a heart attack and passed away while waiting in a
queue for petrol.
The High-Level Road has been obstructed from Delkanda, Nugegoda, while the road leading to
Slave Island has been obstructed from Union Place by protestors. Motorists are advised to use
alternate routes.
The number of buses on the road have also greatly reduced whereby public transport is
significantly hampered.
