Hirunika Premachandra, a former Member of Parliament, has been barred from entering the route leading to the President’s Official Residence in Colombo.
Premachandra claimed on Social Media that she and two of her colleagues had arrived in the region to visit a bank that is situated along the same route.
Even though the road was open to the public, the Police promptly set up barricades to block her from using it.
She claimed that other persons were allowed entry but the Police only stopped her and her two colleagues from using the route.
