Inflation reaches record levels in June.

The rate of inflation in this nation has surpassed 50% for the first time in recorded history, as have commodity price increases.

The rate of inflation in Sri Lanka for June was 54.6 percent this month.

Food costs have jumped by 80% this month, according to the Department of Census and Statistics.

Prices for goods and services other than food increased by 42.4%.

The sharp increase in vegetable costs has been greatly impacted by the present fuel crisis.

The biggest contributors to inflation this month are also the rise in fuel prices and the price increases for other food goods like rice, spices, and grains.
