Leading “GotaGoGama” activists surrender to Police


Ten suspects were apprehended in connection with violent incidents reported during protests in front of the Education Ministry and the Police Headquarters.

Violence was reported during two separate protests in Thalangama in front of the Education Ministry and in Colombo- Fort in front of the Police Headquarters.

Protests were held on June 9th and 10th against the government and the Sri Lanka Police.

The ten suspects wanted in connection with the violent incidents surrendered to the Maradana Police today, according to the police.

Sri Lankan YouTuber Rathidu Suramya alias Ratta, student union leader Wasanatha Mudalige, and Frontline Socialist Party leader Lahiru Weerasekera are among the suspects who have surrendered to the Police.
