New bus fares to be made known today. According to the National Transport Commission (NTC), the interim bus fare change following the recent fuel price hike will be released today. The announcement, according to them, will be made this morning.
After much discussion on Tuesday June 28th, it was decided to increase bus fares by 30% whilst also raising the minimum fee from Rs. 32 to Rs. 40.
The National Transport Commission (NTC), Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), and private bus owners conducted the said meeting at the Ministry of Transport.
