Only critical services will be in operation; CPC will only supply fuel for such services, from midnight (27).

From midnight on this day (27), until midnight on July 10, only necessary services will be provided in Sri Lanka.

Beginning from midnight on Monday, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation will ONLY supply diesel and gasoline for critical purposes (27).

According to Minister Bandula Gunawardena, these services include ports, airports, health care, food distribution, and agriculture.

The Minister demanded that the public support efforts to reduce gasoline usage, saying that “all other sectors must prepare from work from home program.”

Only critical services, according to the minister, will be permitted to run till July 10; all other operations will be temporarily halted.

The Sri Lanka Transport Board will be able to handle short-distance travel, but long-distance travel will be halted, according to the Minister.
