Paddy owned by the Paddy Marketing Board (PMD) will be converted into rice and sold under the PMB Rice brand commencing next week.
Arrangement have been made to distribute the PMB Rice to the citizens of this country
at a price which is less than the controlled price.
5kg and 10kg bags of rice will be sold at different locations in Colombo by National
Food Promotion lorries. Steps will be taken to distribute this rice via Sathosa and other
supermarkets.
