President meets US Ambassador

Today (30), at a meeting with Julie J. Ching, the US Ambassador to Sri Lanka, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa expressed gratitude to the US for its invaluable assistance during these trying times.

Furthermore, the Ambassador reaffirmed that the United States Government would continue to assist in stabilizing the economy in light of recent developments involving the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Julie Chung, the US ambassador to Sri Lanka, assured President Gotabaya Rajapaksa that the US will assist Sri Lanka in finding a way out of its economic crisis.

The United States supports the development of the partnership with the International Monetary Fund, according to a high-level diplomatic mission from that country.

Joe Biden, the vice president of the United States, has also taken action on multiple occasions to deliver humanitarian aid.
