On Monday (27) morning, the high-level US delegation met with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa in Colombo to discuss how the US might boost the island nation’s economy.
In order to discuss Sri Lanka’s economic situation, Ambassador Kelly Keiderling, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the US Department of State, and Robert Kaproth, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury, joined by Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie J Chung, met with the President.
The Ambassador tweeted, “It’s a difficult time, but we continue to provide aid & long-term collaboration to help SL achieve a successful, safe & democratic future.”
