Second aid cargo from Tamil Nadu

The second shipment of supplies for Sri Lankans suffering from the economic crisis was sent by the Indian State of Tamil Nadu.

The Tamil Nadu government has pledged a total of 123 crore in Indian Rupees to help, which includes 40,000 tonnes of food, 500 tonnes of milk powder, and life-saving medications.

On Wednesday, a ship leaving Tuticorin port was carrying 15,000 metric tonnes of necessities valued at Rs 67.70 crore (Indian).
