On Tuesday, a woman with burn injuries was discovered dead inside a house in Ragama (7).
The deceased was 74 years old, her daughter was being treated in hospital, and her husband had gone to see their daughter on Monday (6) night, according to Sri Lanka Police.
When he returned this morning, he discovered his wife’s charred remains inside the house.
The Wattala Magistrate conducted the Magisterial Inquiry on Tuesday (7).
The Mahabage Police Department is investigating to see if the death was the result of a murder.
