The Criminal Investigations Department has apprehended another suspect in the murder of former Parliamentarian Amarakeerthi Athukorala.
The suspect was identified as a 24-year-old Pasyala resident.
So far, 31 suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of the former Parliamentarian and his security guard, and 30 have been remanded in custody.
The CID investigation into the deaths of the former parliamentarian and his bodyguard on May 9th in Nittambuwa is still ongoing.
