Three barges are being transported to Colombo by a Chinese vessel.

On Sunday, the latest 80,000-ton semi-submersible vessel, M.V. XIN YAO HUA, carrying three transport barges, arrived at Colombo Port (5).

According to the Chinese Embassy in Colombo, these Chinese ships will join the JUN HAI 1 super dredger for the Sri Lankan Port Expansion Project, which includes ECT2 and JCT5, and will help Sri Lanka’s economic recovery.

The XIN YAO HUA (IMO: 9925980, MMSI 636021076) is a Heavy Load Carrier that was built in 2022 and is currently sailing under the Liberian flag.

The MV XIN YAO HUA arrived at Ras Laffan anchorage in Qatar on March 6th and successfully completed her maiden voyage.

The MV XIN YAO HUA, which was officially delivered in Guangzhou on January 19th, 2022, sailed for her maiden voyage of the floating dock transportation project from South Korea to Qatar.

The floating dock is 230 meters long, 45 meters wide, and has an irregular structural bulge of 1.5 meters on each side.
