SriLankan Airlines has clarified reports that flight UL 504 avoided a possible mid-air collision with another aircraft.
SriLankan Airlines confirmed that the pilots of UL 504, which flew from London to Colombo on June 13, 2022, were able to safely commandeer the flight.
In contrast to media reports, SriLankan confirmed that UL 504 was never in danger of colliding with another aircraft in mid-air.
The pilots’ vigilance and the aircraft’s cutting-edge communication and surveillance system ensured UL 504’s safe passage.
Furthermore, SriLankan Airlines commends the pilots operating UL 504 for their prompt action, which ensured the safety of all passengers, crew, and equipment onboard UL 504.
