During a telephone conversation yesterday between Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Anthony Blinken, Secretary of State of the United States of America, Mr. Blinken agreed to support Sri Lanka and to promote investment in the island nation after the conclusion of the IMF talks.
Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesighe had explained the current status of the ongoing discussions with the IMF to Mr. Blinken and had also mentioned that Sri Lanka is looking at working closely with the United States to further strengthen ties between the two nations.
