Last night, the body of a young man with cut injuries was discovered near Volpe Cross Road in Moratumulla.
According to the police, the body was discovered with the hands and feet tied with a rope and the mouth plastered, based on a tip.
The teen is said to have died while the police were arranging for his transfer to Panadura Hospital.
The identity of the young person has yet to be determined. It is assumed that the youth is between the ages of 20 and 25 and stands 5 feet 6 inches tall.
He was discovered wearing a blue T-shirt and white pants, according to the police.
