Last night, a person was killed after being stabbed with a sharp object near the Sri Lanka Telecom office in Fort, Colombo.
The victim succumbed to his injuries upon admission to the Colombo National Hospital after sustaining severe injuries in the attack.
The deceased was identified as a 37-year-old Thelwatte, Negombo, resident.
According to the findings of the investigation, the attack was precipitated by a dispute between two parties that escalated.
The murder suspect has been identified, but he is believed to have fled the area.
The Fort Police are conducting investigations in an effort to capture the suspect.
