A gunman killed three people before being shot by an armed onlooker at an Indiana mall. According to Greenwood Police Chief Jim Ison, a shooter opened fire in the food court of a shopping center south of Indianapolis on Sunday, killing three people before being shot and killed by a bystander.

The event occurred in the early evening at Greenwood Park Mall, according to the Indianapolis Star, and two additional people were hurt.

According to the newspaper, the gunman was alone and had a firearm and multiple magazines of ammunition.
