This morning, a person fell from an apartment building on Vivekananda Road in Wellawatte and died.
The police said that the person who died was a Mahiyanganaya resident who was 37 years old.
Investigators have found that the person who died worked as a painter at the four-story apartment building that is being built.
It was said that the man had fallen down the stairs from the fourth floor to the first floor.
The Wellawatte Police are continuing to look into what happened.
