At the 68th National Film Awards, which were announced on Friday, the team behind “Soorarai Pottru” almost won all of the awards. The movie won several awards, including Best Actor for Suriya, Best Actress for Aparna Balamurali, and Best Screenplay for the movie’s director, Sudha Konagara.
All kinds of people, including Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, sent their congratulations to the team. Kumar praised the team and said he was happy to be in the Hindi version of the hit movie.

The movie was about the life of Captain GR Gopinath, who started Simplify Deccan. It was directed by Sudha Kongara, and the main characters were played by Suriya, Paresh Rawal, and Aparna Balamurali.
The original makers of “Soorarai Pottru” announced that the movie would be remade in Hindi in 2021. Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan will play the main characters in the Hindi version, and south Indian actor Suriya will have a small role in the movie. Kumar has already started making the movie.
While the movie’s official release date is still unknown.
Aparna Balamurali, who played the main character in the movie “Soorari Pottru,” won the Best Actor (Female) National award for her role in the movie.
Aside from them, actor Paresh Rawal played a bad guy in the movie.
