An update on the distribution of LIOC fuel. During the weekend, the Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) will reportedly only distribute fuel to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) and industries.
Manoj Gupta, Managing Director of LIOC, stated that the company’s Trincomalee Petroleum Terminal will continue to supply fuel to the CPC and all industries today, tomorrow (09), and Sunday (10).
Gupta added that the LIOC will begin supplying fuel to sheds on Monday (11).
His statement comes after it was reported that the LIOC was planning to close its petroleum terminal in Trincomalee and fuel stations across the island as a precautionary measure tomorrow (09). Gupta revealed that discussions were currently underway regarding the closure of their terminal and fuel stations in light of the country’s current developments.
