Customs officers at the Katunayake airport have taken 47 million illegally brought into Sri Lanka into custody.
According to Customs Media Spokesperson Sudath Silva, the suspect who brought this gold stock on a FlyDubai flight was also arrested by police by officials.
The suspect has been identified as a 35-year-old Dematakoda resident.
According to the Customs Spokesperson, 16 gold biscuits and four molten gold pieces weighing 2098g were discovered in his possession.
