A 25-year-old pizza delivery man in the United States recently put his life at risk to save two children and three teenagers from a burning house in Indiana. The Lafayette Police Department posted on Twitter that Nicholas Bostic was driving by and saw a house on fire. He pulled into the driveway right away and ran into the house to get an 18-year-old woman and four children to safety.
The event took place on July 11 in Lafayette, Indiana. A police officer’s body camera shows Mr. Bostic carrying the child out of the house as it was on fire. It also shows the 25-year-old giving the child to the people who came to help.
In a press release, the police said that Mr. Bostic saved four siblings, ages 1, 13, 18, and 18, and a 13-year-old who was sleeping over.
The 25-year-old ran to the back door, went upstairs, and then got some of the kids out of the house. But when he heard that the 6-year-old girl was still inside, Mr. Bostic went back into the fire and found her, even though there was a lot of smoke. He then broke a window so they could get away and be safe.
During the incident, Mr. Bostic was “seriously hurt,” according to the police. He got very sick from the smoke and even cut his right arm badly. He is no longer in prison. The 6-year-old, on the other hand, was “miraculously mostly unhurt,” the police said.
“Nicholas Bostic did brave things that saved people’s lives. His selflessness during this event is inspiring, and many people have been impressed by his courage, determination, and calmness in the face of such dangerous danger. The Lafayette Police Department, the Lafayette Fire Department, and the Honorable Mayor Tony Roswarski will always be grateful to Nicholas for what he did and want to thank him publicly for it “the news story said.
Several people on the internet have also praised the pizza delivery man for his bravery. One user wrote, “SuperHero for this and Everyday Hero for the pizzas.” “A story that he will tell his grandchild one day. That right there is a hero script, “another was added. “Bravo pizza delivery man,” said fourth.
No one knows yet what started the fire.
