The Department of Meteorology predicts that Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as Nuwara-Eliya, Kandy, Galle, and Matara districts, will experience multiple showers.
On occasion, the western slopes of the Central hills, the Northern, North-Central, and North-Western provinces, and the Trincomalee and Hambantota districts can anticipate winds of approximately 50 kilometers per hour.
Sea regions:
A few showers will occur in the waters off the coast between Puttalam and Matara, passing through Colombo and Galle.
Winds will be south-westerly and between 30 and 40 kilometers per hour. In the waters off the coasts from Puttalam to Trincomalee via Mannar and Kankesanturai and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota, wind speeds can reach 50 to 60 kilometers per hour.
The coastal waters between Puttalam and Trincomalee, via Mannar and Kankesanturai, and Matara and Pottuvil, via Hambantota, will at times be rough. The other sea areas surrounding the island can occasionally be quite turbulent.
