Due to the fuel crisis, doctors and medical personnel are having difficulty getting to hospitals.
Janaka Sri Chandragupta, Secretary to the Ministry of Health, stated that talks are currently underway with the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation to source fuel for medical personnel.
He stated that health workers living outside of Colombo face transportation challenges and that there are security concerns when issuing fuel to health workers.
