Imposing police curfew is a cowardly act by the government – Maithripala Sirisena

Former President Maithripala Sirisena says that imposing police curfew to suppress the struggle of free and peaceful unarmed people is a cowardly act taken by the government.

The former President also points out that the Constitution of the country has confirmed the right of every citizen to express their opinions freely and to struggle and agitate to win basic rights.

Former President Maithripala Sirisena further states that he believes that the people will unite for a non-violent struggle tomorrow (09) to win their rights without allowing the true voice of the oppressed people to be suppressed.
