Mervyn Silva, a former deputy minister, joined the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) today.
At Maithripala Sirisena’s official residence in Colombo, the SLFP chairman and former president gave Mervyn Silva a membership to the party.
According to rumors, Mervyn Silva will soon be chosen as a National District Organizer for the SLFP.
In his most recent election, Mervyn Silva ran as a United National Party (UNP) candidate.
