The latest season of Netflix Inc’s ‘Stranger Things’ has increased total viewership to more than 1.15 billion hours, according to the streaming service on Tuesday.
Winona Ryder and Millie Bobby Brown star in the science-fiction drama, which has become Netflix’s most popular English-language series. Only the South Korean drama ‘Squid Game’ has surpassed 1 billion viewing hours on Netflix.
‘Stranger Things’ also topped Netflix’s Top 10 lists in 91 countries, a first for an English-language TV show, according to the company.
The final two episodes of the show’s fourth season were released last week, briefly crashing the Netflix app as fans rushed to watch them. The show premiered in 2016.
