No suitable distribution of fuel for buses. There is allegedly no suitable programme in place to provide fuel for private passenger transport buses, according to the Lanka Private Bus Owners Association.
According to Gemunu Wijeratne, Chairman of the Lanka Private Bus Owners Association, operating private buses for passenger transportation has been extremely difficult due to the lack of a functional fuel distribution infrastructure.
According to the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), measures have been taken to continue running SLTB buses today. 3,600 buses have been allocated to run today.
