Five places haven’t started the pilot project of giving gas to people with QR codes.
In a tweet, Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said that the QR code system was not being used because orders were not being delivered, orders were being delivered late, and deliveries were also being late.
The minister said that the pilot project to sell fuel with QR codes will start in these five places in the next two days.
Minister Wijesekara said that the pilot project to sell fuel using the QR system has already been completed successfully at 20 sites around the island.
There are 4,708 vehicles that get fuel through the QR system.
So far, 3,523,729 people have signed up to use the QR code system to get gas.
