Representatives of the ‘GoHomeGota’ campaign will hold a discussion with all party leaders on the country’s future political course at the Galle Face Green in Colombo.

The names of 25 representatives from the ‘GoHomeGota’ protest campaign have been chosen to participate in the discussion, which will be convened by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena at 2 p.m. today.

The meeting has been organized to gather anti-government protesters’ suggestions and proposals on future measures to be taken to create political stability in Sri Lanka.

During a press conference yesterday, representatives of the ‘GoHomeGota’ protest campaign warned that no party or individual will be allowed to undermine the anti-government protesters’ efforts.

Following the mass public uprising on July 9th, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa announced his resignation tomorrow (13).

The President’s resignation is expected to pave the way for the formation of an interim all-party government to address Sri Lanka’s current economic crisis.

The ‘GoHomeGota’ protest campaign, now in its 95th day, has called for the resignation of the President, Prime Minister, and government, as well as the formation of an interim all-party government, among other key demands.
