The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) reports that fuel delivery to several SLTB depots is delayed.
Panduka Swarnahansa, the Deputy General Manager of SLTB, stated that if fuel delivery is further delayed, the number of buses in operation will decrease.
The Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association reports that private bus operations will be restricted today (18) due to a lack of fuel.
Gemunu Wijeratne, the chairman of the Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association, said that if sufficient fuel is received today (18), measures will be taken to operate more buses tomorrow (19).
Sri Lanka Railways states that train service will continue as normal today (18).
