Talks between the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) and Lanka IOC to provide diesel to the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) for the ensuing 55 days have already begun.
Janaka Ratnayake, the Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka, stated that he speaks with Manoj Gupta, the Managing Director of Lanka IOC, about the issues.
An agreement to buy 7,000 MT of fuel has been reached.
According to the PUCSL, diesel power stations produced around 13 GW hours of electricity overall on Wednesday (29).
