Sri Lankan President in conversation with Russian President. Presidents Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Vladimir Putin of Russia had a fruitful conversation over the phone about Sri Lanka and Russia.
President Rajapaksa claimed in a tweet that his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin was extremely fruitful.
President Rajapaksa added that in order to overcome the current economic difficulties, he has also asked for a credit support offer to help Sri Lanka import petroleum.
The President also disclosed that he had made a modest request for Russian airline Aeroflot to resume service in Sri Lanka.
