Nearly twenty-four hours after IPL founder Lalit Modi shocked the world by announcing that he was dating former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen, Sen finally broke her silence on Instagram. Modi posted a series of romantic photos with Sushmita Sen on Thursday and announced that the two were dating and would soon wed. Sushmita did not respond to Modi’s post immediately, nor did she confirm or deny it.
The following day, Sushmita uploaded an Instagram photo of her two daughters, Renee and Alisah. In the photo’s caption, she wrote: “I am in a state of happiness!! NOT WEDDED…NO RINGS… Absolutely surrounded by love!! Sufficient clarification was given… Now back to work and life!! Thank you for always sharing in my happiness… #NOYB for those who don’t get it. Anyway!!! I love you guys!!! #duggadugga #yourstruly”
In the meantime, Lalit Modi’s Instagram profile picture features Sushmita Sen alongside the former cricket administrator. The two appeared to have recently enjoyed a trip to the Maldives, as evidenced by the photos Modi shared when announcing his new relationship.
Actor Rajeev Sen, Sushmita’s brother, told a publication that he was unaware of the news and would only comment after speaking with his sister. Rajeev responded to Modi’s assertion by stating, “My sister has yet to confirm this.”
