Customs arrest a suspect with over Rs.47Mn in gold biscuits. At the Katunayake Airport, customs officers unlawfully seized a quantity of gold worth more than Rs. 47 million that was transported into Sri Lanka. 16 gold biscuits and four chunks of molten gold weighing 2098g were discovered in his possession, according to the Customs Spokesperson.

According to Customs Media Spokesperson Sudath Silva, authorities detained the suspect who transported this gold stock on a FlyDubai flight.  The suspect, a 35-year-old has been named.
