Tense situation near Ranil’s private residence

Protesters gathered in front of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe’s private residence in Colombo 7 have been dispersed by police using tear gas and water cannons.

The public has gathered near the Prime Minister’s residence to demand his resignation, as well as the President’s.

Due to the current issues in Sri Lanka, the Prime Minister, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, and the government have been asked to resign.

The public is currently engaged in mass protests across the country, demanding a system change.
