The Sri Lanka Air Force stated that it provided a SLAF aircraft for the President, the First Lady, and two security personnel to depart for the Maldives.
It was done at the request of the existing government and with the approval of the Ministry of Defense, according to the statement.
It added that all immigration and customs laws were followed when the aircraft was provided.
