The US has urged SL leaders to act ‘quickly’ to address ‘discontent’. The US urged Sri Lankan leaders on Sunday to act quickly in order to find long-term solutions.

As President Gotabaya Rajapaksa prepares to step down, the US urges “the Sri Lankan Parliament to approach this juncture with a commitment to the betterment of the nation – not any one political party,” a State Department spokesperson said during a visit to Thailand by Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
