Transmission on Sri Lanka National TV has resumed. After a brief hiatus, Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC), the country’s national television broadcaster, has resumed broadcasting.
Anti-government protestors today broke inside the state-owned media organization, forcing the SLCRC to temporarily suspend transmission.
When a group of protesters barged onto the property, they insisted that only news stories about “anti-government protests” and entertainment shows be shown.
The channel halted transmission after the demonstrators had given the public around 15 minutes to hear their side of the tale.
After a brief hiatus, the SLRC has however resumed its broadcasting duties.
