In Aththidiya, Mount Lavinia Police caught two suspects with over Rs. 16 million worth of heroin.
During a raid, the Mount Lavinia Police Crimes Investigations Division caught the two suspects, who lived in Aththidiya and were 35 and 37 years old.
The police were able to get hold of 855g of heroin worth over Rs. 16 million, an electronic scale, and Rs. 41,000, which they think came from selling heroin.
One of the suspects was found to be a worker for the Dehiwala Mount Lavinia Municipal Council. It was also found that an inmate at the Boossa prison and another suspect who lived abroad were involved in the illegal business.
